NRYRA Celebrates GivingTuesday (December 3rd, 2019) with campaign and financial support for players planning to play within our program as well as supporting players attending Nationals and other select international honor teams, joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement
 
Raleigh, December 3rd– This GivingTuesday, NRYRA will inspire generosity by In order to continue with the growth of our rugby program, we are currently seeking sponsorship to cover the increasing costs of operating a more successful organization. As the team increases its recognition, the costs associated with operation of the club and travel for the team and coaches also increase. We also make every effort to give any boy or girl
who wants to play rugby the opportunity to play through scholarships and assistance.  We also again have plans to attend nationals which adds a significant burden on parents and families.
 
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. GivingTuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on December 3rd, and throughout the year.
 
Our program joined giving Tuesday in 2017 and we have been fortunate to help support players with funding through supporter’s generosity.
 
Support for our players enables opportunities for players to learn the core values of rugby teamwork, discipline, enjoyment, sportsmanship and respect.
 
GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea:  to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
 
People demonstrate generosity in many ways on GivingTuesday. Whether it’s helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving to causes we care about, every act of generosity counts. About Raleigh Redhawks
 
Established in 2010 with 25 participants, is a youth rugby organization that competes in the North Carolina Rugby Union. The team plays mainly in the spring but we travel to travel to tournaments in the U.S. and overseas. We are a family-oriented club made up of active players, coaches, and volunteers. The Redhawks compete at both 15s and 7s games. Our goal is to grow programs at every age group for both boys and girls. Currently we have Co-Ed teams at U8 and U10, boy’s teams at U12, U14, U16, U19 and Girls High School and Middle. We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that has a vision to promote rugby at the youth and amateur level. We hope to one day secure our own facilities as we struggle finding a place to play and practice.
In order to continue with the growth of our rugby program, we are currently seeking sponsorship to cover the increasing costs of operating a more successful organization. We also make every effort to give any boy or girl who wants to play rugby the opportunity to play through scholarships and assistance.  This year the club intends again to represent NC at Nationals,
